01Overview

Steel Fabrication & Installation Across Houston, Dallas, Austin, and Surrounding Markets

Texas Outlaw Welding provides residential and commercial steel fabrication and installation for projects throughout the Houston area, along with select projects in Dallas and Austin.

Our work includes structural steel, custom gates, patio covers, architectural steel, metal buildings, miscellaneous metals, commercial fabrication, and field installation.

Some projects happen close to our Houston base.

Others require our crews to travel for the right scope of work.

We look at the size, complexity, location, fabrication requirements, installation needs, and schedule of each project to determine whether it is a good fit.

Our primary service areas include:

  • Houston
  • Katy
  • The Woodlands
  • Dallas
  • Austin

If your project is outside one of these areas, contact us. Larger custom residential and commercial steel projects may still be considered depending on the scope.

02Houston

Houston steel projects

Houston is our primary market and home base.

We work with homeowners, custom home builders, general contractors, developers, architects, engineers, and commercial property owners throughout the Houston area.

Our Houston-area work can include:

  • Residential structural steel
  • Custom steel patio covers and canopies
  • Custom gates and entry systems
  • Architectural steel and custom metalwork
  • Residential metal buildings and outdoor structures
  • Commercial structural steel fabrication and installation
  • Steel erection
  • Miscellaneous metals
  • Commercial metal buildings
  • Commercial architectural steel

Houston's mix of custom homes, major renovations, commercial construction, industrial properties, and continued development creates a wide range of opportunities for custom steel fabrication.

Our ability to fabricate in the shop and install in the field allows us to support projects from early planning through completion.

03Katy

Katy steel projects

Texas Outlaw Welding serves residential and commercial projects in Katy.

The area includes everything from established neighborhoods and custom homes to growing commercial and business developments.

Residential projects may include:

  • Structural steel for custom homes
  • Steel for major additions
  • Patio covers
  • Architectural canopies
  • Custom driveway gates
  • Architectural metalwork
  • Shops and outdoor structures

Commercial work may include structural fabrication, miscellaneous metals, custom steel, metal buildings, and field installation.

We can work from completed project plans or discuss custom projects that are still in the early stages.

04The Woodlands

The Woodlands steel projects

We also serve custom residential and commercial steel projects in The Woodlands.

Properties in The Woodlands often place a strong emphasis on both function and appearance.

That makes custom fabrication especially useful for projects where the steel needs to perform structurally while still fitting the architecture of the property.

Residential work can include:

  • Custom structural steel
  • Patio covers and canopies
  • Gates and entry systems
  • Architectural steel
  • Custom metalwork
  • Outdoor steel structures

Commercial projects may include structural steel, architectural features, miscellaneous metals, and other custom-fabricated components.

05Dallas

Dallas steel projects

Dallas is an active growth market for Texas Outlaw Welding.

We currently consider and take on select residential and commercial projects in the Dallas market while continuing to grow our crews and field presence in North Texas.

Our goal is not to present ourselves as a company with a permanent Dallas office when that is not the case.

Instead, we focus on projects where our design, fabrication, and installation capabilities make sense for the scope.

Dallas-area projects may include:

  • Custom residential structural steel
  • Large patio covers and architectural structures
  • Estate gates and entry systems
  • Architectural steel
  • Custom metal buildings
  • Commercial structural steel
  • Steel erection
  • Miscellaneous metals
  • Commercial architectural fabrication

Larger projects are often a better fit because the value comes from the fabrication capability and overall steel scope rather than simply having a welder located nearby.

We are continuing to expand our crews and presence in the Dallas market as project volume grows.

06

06Austin

Austin steel projects

Austin is also an active expansion market for Texas Outlaw Welding.

We currently take on select projects in the Austin area while continuing to grow our field capacity and crew presence in Central Texas.

The Austin market can be a strong fit for custom steel because many residential and commercial projects call for more design-driven work.

Potential projects may include:

  • Structural steel for custom homes
  • Modern patio covers
  • Architectural canopies
  • Custom steel buildings
  • Commercial structural steel
  • Commercial architectural fabrication

We evaluate Austin projects based on the steel scope, project size, field requirements, and schedule.

For the right project, our Houston fabrication capabilities can support work that is installed by our crews in the Austin market.

07Project types

What we build in each market

Residential Steel Projects

Our residential work is focused on larger custom projects rather than small standalone welding repairs.

We work on projects such as:

  • Custom home structural steel
  • Major renovations
  • Steel patio covers
  • Architectural canopies
  • Automatic and custom entry gates
  • Custom metal buildings
  • Garages
  • Shops
  • Outdoor structures

These projects may begin with engineered plans, architectural drawings, or an early-stage idea.

Commercial Steel Projects

Commercial projects often require stronger coordination between the fabrication shop, field crews, general contractor, and other trades.

Our commercial services include:

  • Structural steel fabrication and installation
  • Steel erection
  • Miscellaneous metals
  • Commercial metal buildings
  • Specialty steel fabrication

We work from approved project documents and can remain involved through field installation.

08Scope

Why the scope matters more than the map

Why Project Scope Matters More Than a City Line

Steel fabrication is different from many local home services.

The right contractor does not always need to be located five minutes from the jobsite.

Much of the work happens before installation.

The steel needs to be measured, cut, fitted, welded, and prepared.

Then the finished components need to be delivered and installed.

For larger custom projects, the quality and capability of the fabricator can matter more than whether the fabrication shop sits inside the same city limits.

That is why we consider projects outside our immediate Houston market when the scope makes sense.

Projects We Are More Likely to Travel For

Not every project makes sense for a crew to travel several hours.

The projects that are usually a better fit include:

  • Larger structural steel packages
  • Custom home steel
  • High-value architectural steel
  • Large custom gates and estate entries
  • Commercial structural projects
  • Commercial metal buildings
  • Larger miscellaneous metal packages

These projects benefit more from specialized fabrication and installation capabilities.

Fabricated in the Shop, Installed at the Project

Many of our projects begin in the fabrication shop.

The steel is cut, fitted, welded, drilled, and prepared before it reaches the property.

That model allows us to serve projects beyond our immediate neighborhood while maintaining control over the fabrication process.

It also means installation requirements can be considered before the steel leaves the shop.

Growing Our Texas Field Presence

Houston remains our primary market.

At the same time, Texas Outlaw Welding is continuing to grow its ability to serve projects in Dallas and Austin.

We do not need to wait until that expansion is complete to take the right projects.

We are already considering and accepting work in Dallas and Austin today while building the capacity to serve more projects there over time.

Working With General Contractors Across Multiple Markets

General contractors may manage projects across Houston, Dallas, Austin, and other Texas markets.

When the steel scope is a good fit, we can work with contractors who need a fabrication and installation partner capable of supporting projects beyond one small service radius.

  • Fabrication
  • Delivery coordination
  • Steel erection
  • Field installation
  • Miscellaneous metals

The exact scope depends on the project.

Working With Homeowners Outside Houston

Homeowners in Dallas, Austin, and other markets can also contact us about substantial custom steel projects.

The project does not need to be commercial simply because it is farther from Houston.

A large custom residential project may still be a good fit.

Examples include:

  • Structural steel for a custom home
  • Major architectural steel
  • Estate gates
  • Large patio covers
  • Custom metal buildings

Send us the project information and location.

We can determine whether the project makes sense for our team.
